It's pretty well-accepted that photography can serve many purposes, ranging from the ultra-practical to the purely-aesthetic. I like to think of myself as a living embodiment of that idea, and what I hope this website conveys. A landscape photo might not have any application other than to provide enjoyment to the viewer and to remind that viewer of the beauty of nature. A picture of a kitchen, on the other hand, isn't very likely to move people, but could be a very effective tool for real estate agents trying to get top dollar for their clients in as little time possible. Both have their place in the photographic world, and I hope to demonstrate that the skills needed to excel in them, while certainly different, are hardly mutually exclusive.
My work has, so far, been featured in publications such as the Westchester County Town Planner calendar and the North Country (the Adirondack, NY area) National Public Radio affiliate. But although I've been interested in photography pretty much ever since I understood what it was, I like to think that I am just getting started. As my career evolves, I expect this website to as well!
